We had our spelling tests today.  They are being sent home for families to review.  Shayla came in to read with us today and played songs on her keyboard.  We had free choice on computers and then went to art class.  This afternoon was the teacher versus students hockey and ringette games at Sungro.  Inbetween games, we watched some members of the Beausejour Skating Club perform. It was great fun!
April Calendars are being sent home today.  You can also view this calendar on the blog, however; it may not be ready right away.  We are still trying to work out how to embed the Show and Tell schedule, etc.

One more day until Spring break!  We worked on addition and subtraction problem solving in math today.  In spelling, we practiced our proof reading skills and worked on word endings (s, ed, ing).  Students exchanged homereading books today so that they will have reading during the break - they also received reading prizes for March. If your child has not returned his/her book bag, please send it tomorrow.  Tomorrow is "Jersey Day" and we will be heading over to Sungro for the teacher versus student hockey game at 2:00 pm. We also have a spelling test tomorrow (both grade one and two).  We will start posting the weekly spelling words on our blog after Spring break.

Today, we had our popcorn party.  Evan brought in "Little House on the Prairie" for a wrap up to life long ago, however; we were not able to view these DVDs on our Smartboard.  Thanks, Evan!We're sorry that they did not work out. Our visit to East Gate Lodge has been cancelled for tomorrow due to unforseen circumstances. It is backwards/inside out day tomorrow.

This week is Spirit Week at BEYS.  Today was Hawaiian day and everyone wore colorful summer clothing and grass skirts. Tomorrow is PJ day and we are going to have a movie and popcorn.  Students are to wear PJ's and bring their favorite stuffie and cozy blanket.
