It's been so long since we blogged, however; we are a pretty busy classroom.  We are in the computer room right now and the students want me to blog the following:
I love you mom and dad!!
Swimming starts today and we are all excited to go to the pool at 11:30. Thank you to all of you who are giving up your time to help supervise. We have enough parents coming to each lesson as long as no one cancels.  Please check the side bar for the supervision schedule (I will post it today).
We are looking for 3 volunteers to come with us to the Pioneer Village on Monday, June 25th.  We will be walking down there.  Mrs. Mickey will be delivering our lunches and we will have a picnic lunch on site.  If you are able to volunteer, we would greatly appreciate it.
This afternoon, we are planting our garden. Mrs. Kolbelka's students are sharing a garden box with us and we are planting vegetables.  In the fall, we will harvest it and make vegetable soup.  We are looking for families to take a turn over the summer to water and weed the garden - it is quite small and wouldn't take too long.  The peas and beans would be ready before school begins in the fall.  We are hoping that someone wouldn't mind harvesting these and freezing them (it would be a very small amount).  I am away for all of July, however; I can pitch in during the month of August.

Reminder:  Breakfast and hotdog program are no longer available and will resume in September!

Hello everyone!  Yesterday was our zoo trip and all went well, however; many of the exhibits are under construction  so it was a little disappointing to not see all of the animals.  By the fall of 2013, the zoo will have an enormous Churchill and arctic polar bear exhibit so it should be a great place to visit then.  Our Walk for Alzhiemer's has been cancelled due to rain.  We have noticed that it has started to clear outside so we thought that we would walk to East Gate Lodge with our banners and deliver our donations.  We also want to say our final goodbyes to our Senior Buddies before we leave for the summer.  Ms. Patzer will stay behind at the school and barbecue hotdogs for us when we get back.
